Shop Small, Play Big On A 5-Farm Fall Family Adventure
This fall, my family and my energetic 5-year-old grandson are embarking on an unforgettable adventure across five local farms. It’s the perfect celebration of community, making memories and giving us a chance to shop small, and support the amazing people who steward the land.
Our first stop is Raynay Farm in Ruffin, home to champion alpacas, soft yarn, homemade jams, and pasture-raised chickens. Next, we’ll visit Century Farm Orchards in Reidsville, a rare treat, as they open their gates to showcase heritage fruit trees alongside local craft vendors. In Yanceyville, we’ll stop by Baldwin Beef in Yanceyville to learn about pasture-raised beef and sample rich, local flavors.
At Simmons Farm Museum in Elon, Dee and Randy Simmons invite us down memory lane with vintage tractors, a restored 1945 general store, and wagon rides. As our last farm of the day at Pass Gen Farms in Leasburg, my grandson can’t wait for the mini petting zoo with friendly goats and ducks, organic produce, and bounce-house fun where my grandson can wear himself out!
From pasture-raised beef to farm-fresh treats, Caswell County is the ultimate fall destination. Grab your boots, support local makers, and join us on the farms!
